Flower Power

I am SO excited for this post!  You see, Ladybird Ln. is having a Pillow Fight this week.  She has been advertising it for weeks now and I keep going back to it.  But I've been too scared to try it.  Sad, huh?  Its just that I know I am beginning to learn to sew and if I'm going to be giving these to a precious kid that is fighting a battle in the hospital, then I want it to be perfect!  I am only about 45 minutes from Nashville where we have an AMAZING hospital for children called Vanderbilt.  My oldest, Luke, had to stay in there for a while when he was first born.  Not only are the Dr's wonderful, but everyone who works there really does care about the children they are with.  I will be donating what I make to them.

I had seen this flower pillow over on Sun Scholars many months ago.  However, I am just now getting to it.  I'm such a procrastinator on some things.  I just knew I needed to make this for Riley's room when I seen it.  I have looked at the fleece for it....just didn't want to pay the prices I had seen. Fortunately for me....a few weekends ago I went yard sailing and there it was......5 different colors! WOOOOHOOOOO!  They were not big pieces, but for 5 colors I only paid $3!  Good Deal!  I scooped it up and got to work!

I love it!  It is smaller than the one I had seen...and I did change some small things on the one I made, but overall the same concept!  What do you think?  Do you know a little cutie that would LOVE it??  I know mine does.
