Sad Day.....

Well, today is a day that all military wives dread.....time for the hubby to leave day. We are SO LUCKY to be in a wonderful unit where the hubby will only have to be gone for a much shorter time then the 12 months most units are. I, however, am not alowed to share details about when, where, time, how, and so on. What I will say is that no matter the time or distnace, if hubby is not home we are missing something around here!

I just wanted to take a moment and say that I am wollowing (is this really a word??) in my own self pitty today, and hope to be back tomorrow with another project. Until then, please say a prayer for me that I do not polish off another bag of Lay's chips (since I already have one bag). My gym routine will not like me tomorrow!

So, see ya on the flip side!

Have a Wonderful Day!

  2. Some of my closest girlfriends are also military wives & I'm convinced that you girls are some of the strongest people that I know. Your men are amazing for doing what they do but I'll never stop thanking the wives, and your families for the sacrifice you make to give up your time together (& Lord knows, the extra effort you have to make to juggle life as a mom)- all for the sake of our beloved country. Be encouraged Christy and I'll pray that God gives you everything you need right now! :)

  3. Thank you both so much! You do not know how much your words have helped and lifted me up. (Despite that they made me cry, a good cry) :)

  4. Oh... I'm so sorry to hear this... one of our cousins is a nurse with the US military. She was deployed for a year a few months after she gave birth to her first baby. She's still there, somewhere. I guess it's one small blessing that your husband will be gone less than the usual 12 months. It must be hard but I know that the people in your country appreciate everything your military, and their families, sacrifice.
