The gift of Friendship

Hey all of you fabulous readers!  How are you today??  Great I hope!  I am feeling much better!  I was hit with a horrific migraine, that lasted the span of two days, a shot in the butay, and even some muscle relaxers. :/  BUT, at least now I have something to head them off when the start coming on, right?

Anyway,  since I have been out for the count for two days I don't have anything from me to share today.  BUT, I do have some fabulous things that I have received from a few friends this week!

Friends, Friends, Friends.  I do not have a good track record with friends.  I will not go into the poor me scenario.  Lucky you! ;)  BUT, the past few months I have been so blessed to have met some amazing women, that I call friends.  (Yes, through blogging)  But today I want to talk about real life, right in front of you friends.

I have been doing a women's group study with some fabulous women and we have been doing "secret sisters" every week.  A friend by the name of Julie had my name.  :)  She is one amazing lady!  She is so loving, encouraging, uplifting, I could go on.  She also has a home run business of making Stained Glass.  She even has a facebook page, Stained Glass by Julie.  She is a fellow Military Wife, and does beautiful pieces.  If you are a supporter of Handmade items, and would like to give a beautiful handmade piece of stained glass please check her out!

Here is the piece she made for me.....I love it!!  (I noticed my awful finger prints all over the side....please ignore that! :( )  All of HER work is perfect!  And you should see her pieces when the sun is shining.  They are so bright and beautiful.  Thank you so much, Julie!!
The same day I had a friend, Amanda, give me this.  Now, she claims to not be "crafty" but this has crafty all over it! ;)  It is a square glass jar.  (I have a top picture of it lower down)  She melted crayons on the front of it. Then added a candle on the inside.  It is so cool!
This is what it looks like when it is lit up in the dark.  The colors are much brighter in person, my camera is just a small point and shoot and does not do it justice.
Here is what it looks like on the inside.  She even made sure that the crayon would not melt while burning the candle before giving it to me.  :)  She found that as long as the candle is in a glass, and not a single tea light or something without an extra barrier then the crayon will stay put!  Thanks so much, Amanda!
And people, this lady is crafty!  You should see her house.  It is so cute and eclectic.  She has a real eye for decor and pieces.  Very cute!!

Thanks so much Julie and Amanda.  Not only for the gifts, but most of all for the gift of friendship.  You two do not know how much that means to me.

I hope you all have a fabulous day!!
