Pinterest Make Me: {The Messenger Bag}

Good morning everyone!  Today I wanted to show off a Messenger Bag that has been on my list for months now!  Of course, it was one of my "Pins". ;)
It came from Noodlehead!

Well, I needed to make something for a gift for a cousin to buy for someone.  I thought of this and hoped that it would be perfect!  I started out by trying to follow their step by step directions, but started with a belt for the strap.  This is what I started with:

I got the "folds" backwards, and had to put the shorts material on the inside, rather than the outside.  But I do like it better with the darker material on the outside.

I used bias tape for the flap. {The Inside}

{The Front} I do love it!  I plan on making my oldest boy one to carry his Bible and church workbook in. :)

So, what do you think?  Look ok?  Thankfully, my cousin liked it, too!  I am seriously loving this handmade holiday thing I've got going on this year!  I love it!!

I like to party over here!

Have a great day!

  7. This is super cute! I love the whole idea of it. Making gifts for the holidays will only become more and more addictive. I've been finding the same thing this year too. I love that feeling of really putting effort into a gift so that when someone opens it, they know you cared more than the 15 minutes it would take to click a button at Amazon or swipe a card at a store. Homemade takes a lot of skill, a lot of patience, and a lot of love. I hope your holidays continue to be filled with joy and that you have as much fun making all your gifts as I'm sure the recipients will have getting them. :)
