I'm so dotty!

Pin It

Have you entered my giveaway for $15 to Thrifty and Fabuless Etsy shop? If not, you can do so here!

I am SO Excited!!  I have {finally} completed my first zipper!  Ya know how you want to do something so bad, but are so nervous about it that you put it off, and put it off?  That was me with the zipper!  BUT, as always, once you face your fears {I totally sound like I am going sky diving} you conquer it and then wonder what took you so long to begin with.  Let me show you my amazing dotty pouch aka first scary zipper. ;)

 I have had these two fabrics for months now....along with the zipper.  And have just been waiting to get the nerve up to make it.  I L.O.V.E. the matching fabric from the strip on the outside, to the inside.
 That's not all folks!  Since I loved the fabric so much I decided it was time for me to make a fabric key fob, too!
 The matching set!  It's going to look great with my new purse I just got from Thirty-One!  {No, I have not gotten up enough courage to try a purse yet.}

I did loosely base my clutch off of Noodleheads.

 But I did not follow it completely, their has a ruffle front, and mine does not.  Theirs also has a place to put cards and such. I'm too scared to try that, too.  I do want to make one just like theirs next, though.  Especially since I can do a zipper! ;)

I will be linking up to these fabulous parties!

Have a great day!!

  3. Good job!! It's super-super cute!!! Where do you shop for your fabric? You have a great eye for putting patterns together.
    Okay, now I have a confession. I haven't put a zipper in anything since highschool 4-H. Isn't that dumb?! I have totally forgotten how & your exactly right, I too am just so nervous that I keep putting it off....Okay, that's it. You just inspired me. I'm gonna do it. I will.

    (ps. blogger WILL NOT let me comment like normal...for anyone! So I'm using the name/url option.)

  9. Love your polka dots. Just you wait the little buggers(purses) as so unbelieveably addicting. Once I conquered the zipper there is just no stopping me. I'm doing more than one per week, any excuse will do. I think my sister has 5 now. Any idea that pops out of her mouth, I try. I swear she does it to see if I'll take the bait.

  10. Great job on your zipper! And pouches are a great way to start with them. I'm not great with zippers yet, but I'm going to work on a costume soon with a zipper, so I hope it turns out ok :)
