Kaleb and Jason are Spartans! {Work it out Wednesday}

Happy Wednesday!

I know I haven't updated on my workout the past few weeks.  I have still been running, and my race is THIS weekend.  EEKK! I can't believe it's already here.  I'm so nervous.  But today I want to tell you what my son Kaleb has done....and the hubby.

I have mentioned many times that the husband is very active.  He does runs and things a few times a year.  This past weekend him and a friend went to do The Spartan Run.  We got to take the weekend and go to South Carolina.  I jump at any chance for a road trip. And this time Kaleb (6 years old) wanted to go with us and watch dad.  (My hubby is on the left.  This was before the race.)

Spectators didn't get to see much of the course.  And this is the only obstacle that I was able to get a picture of.  Total it was 14 miles long.  In and out of the woods.  Up and down many hills.  He has war wounds all over.  HA.

While waiting on dad, Kaleb decided to get involved also.  He loved doing tire flips.

And he decided he wanted to do the Spartans Kid Run.  This picture was after Jason had finished, right before Kaleb started.

The kids run was one mile.  There were about 10 obstacles that they had to complete.

He didn't mind getting muddy at all.

And he got his FIRST of MANY competition medals.  He rocked that race.  I am so proud of him.

Here are all of the Spartans, and their medals.

They all did a great job!  And Kaleb is ready to do a 5K.  I better find one for kids.  He has worn his finishers medal every day since.  And I hope he keeps this love for a healthy lifestyle.

Have any of your kiddos gotten to do a race?

  1. Looks like they all had fun. My daughter will be doing a 1 mile fun run this weekend before our annual 5k for education. She is super excited.
