Floor Pillow {Christmas Gift}

Hi!

Can you believe I am posting about Christmas already?  Yes, I am.  When you do homemade, you need to start early. If you don't you will be setting behind the sewing machine/craft table during the holidays rather than enjoying them with your family.  That's no fun!  So, here is my first Christmas present.

I have been wanting to make a floor pillow for months now.  I think they are so cute.  All I needed was a reason.  And I believe that my Niece is a great reason.  The top is pieced together, while the bottom is one whole piece.

Miss Riley loves it, too.  Maybe she will get one for Christmas as well.  :)

It's a really nice size.  My Niece will be two by Christmas.  So it should be perfect for her to lounge on.

I love the colors and patterns on the top piece.  It's so fun, and should match just about any decor that her room may change into as she grows.

I also cut out a flower from one of the fabrics and used that as the middle piece.  That is where all of the top pieces connect, and I wanted it to be hid.  I sewed around the flower with a cute stitch.  And then I pulled the top to the bottom with thread to make it pull down in the middle.

I'm really happy with it.  I hope I can hold off on giving it to her till Christmas.  I'm the worst at that.  ;)

Have you started on Christmas presents yet?

I like to party at these awesome places.

I'm social!  You can keep in touch with me on Twitter, Facebook, Pinterest, and even Instagram under Christy's Cuties if you would like.

  2. That is too cute, Christy!!!!!! The color combo is perfect. You are amazing for starting your Christmas crafting now. I should do the same...don't know if I can/will, but I totally should!! It's become tradition to stress like a maniac the week before Christmas...that tradition is NOT my favorite. Hugs to you, Julie

  10. What a colorfully gorgeous pillow. Almost makes me shudder to think it'll be sitting on the floor ;) Don't worry about being too early for Christmas, because I'm sure that you and I aren't the only ones racking up gift ideas already. I actually linked up a fun, creative gift wrapping tutorial with Lil Luna (where I found you) tonight too.
