Pinterest Make Me: Paleo Spaghetti

My husband has decided that he wants to eat the Paleo way.  Have you heard of it?  I am new to all of this, so it is a lot of learning on my part.  I am having to completely change the way I buy groceries and cook.  And I am so sad to say that I haven't been able to use ANY coupons since starting this. Boo!

One of the first things I made was Paleo Spaghetti.  I used the recipe found here.  Mine does not look near as pretty as theirs, but here is a picture for you.

It was OK, but I'm not so sure I can let go of my pasta. ;)  So, do you follow Paleo?  If so, do you have any tips or posts about it that could help me out?

  1. I have been told that the way we eat is similar to Paleo. We are grain, dairy, soy & corn free. We also stay away from red meat, preservatives & food dye. We do this, not because it was our first choice or to follow the latest trend, but because our health was wasting away & we needed to get to the bottom of it. We have been eating like this for maybe 2 weeks (totally get you on the relearning to cook thing!) and we have noticed significant improvements! We still have a ways to go as far as healing, but it's a start! Once you get used to it, it's not as bad as I would have once thought it to be! I'm off to check out your Pinterest board! :)

    1. By the way, if you want to see my Pinterest recipe boards for inspiration (I haven't made them all yet but ideas are always nice) feel free! They aren't necessarily Paleo, but you could probably tweak them :)

  2. Ohhhh Christy! I am right there with you. My husband is a crossfitter & we've been working our way towards a Paleo diet. It's been a fun challenge for us most day but some days our old easy diet is HARD to give up! I've been craving cinnamon rolls, chicken & noodles & mashed potatoes...ohdearlord! I've got some new recipes that we've added to our rotation of daily meals. I hope to share them at some point on the blog, but since I don't know when that will be, I'll start emailing you the good ones. I did make Kale chips last week & they were SO good! I bought more Kale tonight at the grocery :) I love that you guys are trying Paleo too! Keep posting stuff about it :) -Julie
