Melty Beads {Craft Project Ideas}

One of the kids favorite things to do right now is make things with Melty Beads.

Have you heard of melty beads?  The come in this plastic case, with tons of colors and everything you need to create fun projects

This pack came with a few pictures to use as forms to make your own.  Luke loved the Flag.

Once you get the beads the way you want them, use the paper that comes with your set, place it over your beads, and iron following the directions.

Once they cool, use them for whatever you want.  Kaleb and Riley both put theirs on string to make necklaces.  Luke just likes his laying around.  He has even taken a few to school and traded his for his friends that they have made.

I have also made some hair clips using melty beds.  And I have another project I'm working on now that I will share soon using melty beads.  They are so fun!

*I was sent Melty Beads from Craft Project Ideas.  All projects and opinions are my own.

Hats and Coats {WIWW}

Sometimes a girl just needs a hat!  I have a few hats that I love, but I want more.  ;)  This day, it had been raining for 3 days, and was still cloudy outside.  I decided this day was a hat day!

Hat - Target {Last year}
Shirt - Target
Jeans - Khols
Belt - ME!
Necklace - Premier Designs
I love the pop of color with the neon pink belt.  You know I love color.  :)  And I decided to go with a simple pearl necklace to dress it up a little.

I also decided to pull out one of my favorite scores this past summer.  This coral ruffle jacket is from Target.  I got it at 60% off a few months ago.  I was SUPER excited!!

I LOVE it.  And I may have gotten a few crazy looks for buying a coat when it was 98 degrees outside.  HA.

I will be linking up with The Pleated Poppy.

Thanks for reading.  PS.  Ignore the chalk covered porch.  Riley loves to color.

A New Coffee Cup {Great Grandma's Present}

Every year it gets harder to think of something unique to give my Grandmother, and the kids Great Grandmother for Christmas.  She is my only living Grandmother now, and the kids and I love her dearly.

We have a HUGE family, so when you think of everyone giving her something for Christmas you get a whole range of presents.  This year I wanted to do something special for her.  I know she's getting older, and I know she won't be around forever.  It breaks my heart.  She hasn't been doing well health wise this year and has been having to stay home more.

Since we are in the Military, we live further away than any of our other family members.  So we only get to see her a few times a year.  This year I decided we would do something for her that she could admire every day, until God takes her home.  She loves coffee, so we made her a coffee mug.

Here is Riley's side of the coffee cup.

I'm sure by now you have seen on pinterest how you can use Sharpie's and draw whatever you want on a mug.  Bake it at 350* for 30 minutes and you are done.  This is Luke's side.

I let each of the kids take a side, and left them alone to draw whatever they wanted.  This is Kaleb's side.

I love how personal this is, and I hope she will actually use it, rather than just let it set to look at.   We got the cup at the dollar store, but with what the kids did to it, it is worth so much more to me.  As I'm sure it will be to her as well.

Have a great Christmas everyone. May God bless you and your families.  Thanks for reading along.

Mom clothes....{WIWW}

Happy Wednesday.

Well, I think I have taken a step back.  Before putting pictures of me up on the blog, I always send it to my cousin who is more "styled" than I am.  Is that wrong?  Anyway, she totally said this was a little too "mom-ish".

What do you think?  I tried to spice it up with my super cute leopard print shoes that has a diamond bow.  You can't see them too well.  I'll try and remember a better picture for shoes from now on.  But at least I'm not wearing my boots this week.  HA.

Jacket - Old Navy
Khaki's - Old Navy
Shoes - Charming Charlies

This sweater is one of my old faves.  And the neklace is a cheepy from Claires, but I love it.

Sweater - Khols
Pants - Target
Shoes - Old Navy {Goodwill}
Necklace - Claires

Christmas Gift Idea's (For the teachers)

Hi everyone!  I hope you all are doing well.  We are elbow deep in making Christmas gifts around here!  Lots of fun, smiles, and laughter.  I love it!

I always give Christmas gifts to all of the teachers that my boys see on a weekly basis.  At their school they both have a home room teacher, music teacher, 3 gym teachers, 1 guidance, 1 library, 1 art teacher.

I could never be a teacher, so I think I better make ours feel very loved so that they all don't quit and I have to home school my kids.  For you homeschooling moms, I commend you!!  So here is what we are giving this year.

I let the kids tell me what they wanted to give their home room teachers.  These are the teachers that have them the most, so I figured the boys should have a say in what they get.  We decided to give them baskets of stuff.

Luke {4th grade} Chose:
Lotion
Glitter Clips
Clipboard
Hi-Liters
M&M's (teacher gives these out as treats)
Personalized Note Pad {Purchased through Pick Your Plum!)
Gifts for the treasure chest

Kaleb {1st grade} chose
Lotion
Glitter clips
Clipboard
Hi-Liters
Personalized Note Pad {Pick Your Plum!}
Stickers {She uses these on each student's daily chart}
Treasure box gifts

We just packed them up in some bins and called it good!  I think they did a great job!

The music teacher is Mr. Rose.  So we just put some Hershey Kisses in this really cute moose jar.  Be on the look out for a tutorial on this cute little Moose Jar!

All of the other teachers are ladies.  So I made all of them some of my Pearl and jute braceletsClick here to see the tutorial to make some for yourself, if you like!

That's what all of our teachers are receiving this year.  Do you give a little something to your child's teachers?  If so, what are you giving?  Share it in the comments so we can all get some new ideas!

Floral Prints {WIWW}

Happy Wednesday friends.  Are you ready for another What I wore Wednesday?  I hope so, but I'm not sure that I am.

I feel like as a mom, I have lost my style.  So I have committed to doing these every week, in hopes that I can get some help from those that do have style.  HA.  I'm sure most moms feel this way.  Especially stay at home moms.  It's not that I don't want to look like a mom, but I want to look like a mom with cute style.  ;)

Here is what I wore to a Christmas party at my Church.

Shirt - Target
Skinny's - Maurices
Boots - Target

I love the way the shirt is longer in the back.  And I can already tell I'm lovin' the tall boots.  I'll try and switch that up some more.  Don't mind my sexy pose. Oops.

A reader mentioned useing scarves more.  So I threw one on this day, to help "dress up" this normally plain outfit.

Jeans - Target
Shirt - Target
Shoes - Maurices {Goodwill}
Sarf - Mudd {Gift}

So, thoughts?  Do you do a What I wore Wednesday post?  Leave a link in the comments.  I would love to check it out!
